At the end of January we were lucky enough to get some snow in London, and of course I had to go out and take lots of photos! Even though I absolutely detest cold weather, I can’t deny that there’s something so magical about snow, and it’s really rare in London so I couldn’t miss it! I’m fortunate enough to live quite near the Heath, and it looks just like Narnia when it’s blanketed in snow!
Since I ventured out close to lunchtime, I was only able to go to the Golders Hill Park part of the Heath – it’s actually one of my favourite parts of the Heath! It was very busy and cold, but I was able to get a few decent photos of the snow, and I managed to capture some pics of the squirrels and deer too.
I highly doubt it will snow again in London this year, as we’re heading into spring, but hopefully it’ll snow again next year when we’re no longer in lockdown: I’d love to travel a bit further and visit Notting Hill or Richmond Park in the snow!
I took most of these pics on my Canon EOSD 1300D, but a few of them were taken on my iPhone 8 Plus since my camera started acting up a bit when I was taking photos of the squirrels!
Enjoy my photo diary of Golders Hill Park in the snow!
Richmond is famous for its deer, but did you know that you can also find these beautiful creatures in Golders Hill Park too? They’re behind an enclosure and you don’t have to pay a single penny to see them! Try to be patient when taking photos of deer as they’re timid creatures and won’t always be in the place you want them to be!
How adorable are these squirrels?! I’d love to have one as a pet (although I don’t think my cats will be too happy)!
So there’s my photo diary of Golders Hill Park in the snow! Did you get any snow this year?
