Hey! I’m Serena! Welcome to my corner of the web!
So you probably want to know a little bit about me, right?
Well, I’m a recent graduate from the University of York (where I studied Sociology) and I’m currently living in London. I have an unhealthy obsession with cats and YouTube (especially covers).
I’ve been on and off blogging for the last decade (and a bit), but it’s only been the last few years that I’ve become more serious about it. I used to have a book blog and a lifestyle blog, but I decided to merge them together (if I can ever transfer my lifestyle blog) and go self-hosted. Also, I’m no longer studying so it seems a bit silly having ‘student’ in my blog’s name! As I liked the ‘Ramblings of Another’ part of my blog name, I decided to keep it.
I hope that this blog will become some sort of online magazine, where I can post about anything that interests me, from TV to film to books to travel. I want to start guest posts, so let me know if you’re up for that! I also want to post more about London – I’ve lived here all my life (minus the time I was in York) yet there is still so much to discover. Can you believe that I’ve never been on the London Eye?! Nope, neither can I!
So what do I do with my life when I’m not blogging?
As you’ve probably guessed, I love to read. My favourite books of all time include Noughts and Crosses, The Fault in Our Stars and My Sister’s Keeper. I was a huge fan of The Princess Diaries and Jacqueline Wilson as a kid.
I also write for a number of websites, including Huffington Post and WeekendNotes. I want to increase that this year and start contributing to other publications too.
Besides blogging, reading and writing, I hang out with my friends, listen to music, and watch films / TV (faves include Gilmore Girls, Pretty Little Liars, Full House, 10 Things I Hate About You, Clueless, The Sound of Music and School of Rock). I’m currently taking driving lessons and doing an internship at a magazine. Oh, and I’ve just started working for this really awesome Swedish company part-time. I help out with their admin, y’know, the cool stuff!
I think that’s all I can tell you now – hope I haven’t rambled on too much! If you want to know more, please don’t hesitate to contact me! I won’t bite! 🙂
