I’m back with my Monthly Favourites! It hasn’t been a very interesting month (well, apart from Easter and the #BWBLaunch!), so my favourites are just food, book and Netflix-related! Enjoy!
1. White Chocolate Caramel Shortcake
This stuff is so moreish! I love the regular Thorntons Caramel Shortcake so I was so happy when I saw the new white chocolate version in the Co-op a few weeks ago!
2. Hershey’s Krispy Kreme
I rarely have Krispy Kremes but when I heard that there was going to be a new Hershey’s donut I knew I had to try it. Fortunately, my local branch of Tesco has recently got a Krispy Kreme cabinet so I could just walk there! These donuts are heavenly. Hershey’s isn’t exactly the best chocolate but the cookies and creme variety is very very tasty.
Okay, so I was trying not to start any new series until PLL finishes, but as I couldn’t decide what film to watch one evening, I decided to start Girlboss. It’s based on Sophia Amoruso’s book of the same name and focuses on how she set up Nasty Gal. While Sophia is an infuriating character, it’s hard not to become addicted to Girlboss and since the episodes are just 25 minutes long (and there are only 13 episodes atm), it’s a great show to binge-watch. I watched Girlboss over the course of two evenings. I can’t wait for the next season!
I’m so glad PLL is back, but a little sad that there’s only a few episodes left! NGL, Season 7B has been a bit disappointing so far – I just want answers already! I have a few theories as to the identity of AD but it changes every episode! Though I’m pretty sure AD is the guy Ali is terrified of…either Archer Dunhill (erm, his initials are literally A.D and he’s returning in the very last episode! But then he wasn’t around in the earlier seasons…), Ezra (was the whole book a cover up?) or Wren (wasn’t he supposed to be the original ‘A’ but one of the cast realised a spoiler and they had to change it?)…and one of those three guys is Spencer’s long lost sibling! Oh, and I’ve seen lots of evidence that points towards Paige…I just hope AD doesn’t turn out to be one of the five girls, their parents or someone insignificant like Addison.
5. Letters to the Lost
While Letters to the Lost is utterly heartbreaking, it’s also beautifully written and it’s easy to fall in love with the characters. I felt truly sorry for Stella – she was trapped in a marriage with a man she didn’t care about and couldn’t leave him for Dan, the guy she really loved, due to the stigma surrounding divorce at the time. I loved the letters and they proved how much Stella and Dan loved each other.
*What did you get up to in March? Did you go anywhere nice for Easter or attend any blogging events?
