Hey guys!
Hope you’ve all had a great Christmas and first week of 2019! As it’s the start of a new year, I thought I’d share my favourite songs released last year. 2018 wasn’t the most exciting year for music, and there were several events that made it one many people would rather forget. However, there were plenty of catchy bops and emotional ballads that stood out and restored my faith in the music industry. While 2018 was possibly the worst year in Ariana Grande & Demi Lovato’s personal lives, it was arguably the best in terms of their music career. Demi Lovato shared her struggles with addiction in ‘Sober’, which is her most honest song to date. Ariana released a whole number of memorable tracks, my most favourite being ‘no tears left to cry’, ‘God is a woman’, ‘breathin’, ‘thank u next’ and ‘imagine’. Miley Cyrus, Avril Lavigne, Lady Gaga, Christina Aguilera and Mariah Carey also returned to the music industry in 2018 and released some of my top songs of the year. So those are my favourite songs of 2018! It’s a long list but I didn’t want to exclude any! What songs from 2018 did you enjoy listening to? I’d love to hear your recommendations!

You’ve got some really good choices in here! I totally agree that Sober is just a brilliant, honest, vulnerable song and I’m really hoping Demi will be back making music before long. All of Ariana’s music from last year is so good – I still love ‘no tears left to cry’ and the video so much. Also a big fan of ‘Dance to This’ – Troye is fantastic and I hope this year is even more successful for him!

Ariana released so many great songs last year! I hope Troye continues to be successful this year too!
I have to agree, it seems to have been a tough year for both Ariana Grande and Demi Lovato – but its great to see Demi’s out of recovery/rehab and focusing on herself. I love Sober, and how honest it is!
I used to be up to date with music but now I’ve got this habit that I’ll hear a song and have no clue who’s singing it or just not know what it’s called. So out of all the songs you listed, I think I only recognise the P!nk one. I recognise a lot of the artists and have probably heard them on the radio but they don’t ring any bells for me. My two fave albums from 2018 were Cher’s Dancing Queen and the Mamma Mia 2 soundtrack. I also liked the song Stop Me From Falling by Kylie Minogue – love a bit of Kylie! ☺
I haven’t properly listened to Kylie for so long but I love the Mamma Mia 2 soundtrack too!
