A few months ago we were blessed with a new range of goodies from Lotus Biscoff, and as a huge fan of everything biscoff, I just had to try them! Back in April, Lotus Biscoff launched sandwich cookies that are filled with 3 different flavours of cream: Biscoff Cream, Milk Chocolate and Vanilla. They are 100% vegan and are currently available from Tesco, Sainsbury’s, GB Gifts, Morrisons and Waitrose.
I haven’t actually had the chance to try the Milk Chocolate sandwich cookies yet, so I’ll just be reviewing the Biscoff Cream and Vanilla ones today. You can check out Nibbles ‘n’ Scribbles for a review of the Milk Chocolate cookies.
Much like Oreos, the new Lotus Biscoff sandwich cookies come in a round shape and smell absolutely heavenly – the cinnamon aroma is so strong! There are 15 cookies in each pack, which makes them great for sharing with a couple of friends, colleagues or members of your family.
Well, this cookie is literally heaven for Biscoff fans, isn’t it?! It’s so tasty and moreish, and definitely one of my fave biscuits (along with Custard Creams, Oreos, Shortbread, Jammie Dodgers and Jaffa Cakes – yep, I consider them biscuits!). The cookie is basically a generous layer of Biscoff spread sandwiched between 2 Biscoff biscuits – yummy!
This one is quite similar to Oreos and Custard Creams: the Biscoff vanilla sandwich cookie consists of a layer of vanilla cream sandwiched between 2 biscuits, in this case Biscoff. While this cookie is delicious and very creamy the vanilla cream is a little bit too sweet – I have a very sweet tooth but these cookies tasted artificial.
Overall, both flavours of Biscoff sandwich cookies are very crunchy and delicious, which is exactly what you’d expect from Lotus Biscoff products! If you love biscoff, I’d definitely recommend trying the new sandwich cookies – you might find out that you like the vanilla ones more than I did!
Do you like biscoff? Have you tried the sandwich cookies yet?
