Hope you’ve had a good week! I’m going back to work on Wednesday after 13 weeks and I’m really nervous but excited too! I’m looking forward to seeing the kids again after 3 months – they’ll have grown so much!
A few weeks ago, I was scrolling through Instagram when I came across 3 new flavours of Hershey’s bars: strawberries ‘n’ creme, sprinkles ‘n’ creme, and cookies ‘n’ mint. Admittedly, I do find Hershey’s bars to be very sweet, but I do like the cookies ‘n’ crème bar, and as a fan of sprinkles, strawberries and mint, I just had to try these new flavours.
Unfortunately, I am unable to get to any American food stores or branches of Home Bargains due to lockdown (and the fact that I don’t drive and am avoiding all public transport anyway), and since these bars are high in demand, it’s hard to find them online. Luckily, I found out about Randalls UK on Instagram, and all 3 bars were available. I’ll point out that Randalls has limited stock at the moment (at the time of writing this post, the sprinkles ‘n’ crème and strawberries ‘n’ creme bars are unavailable), so you might find that the website is closed – however, it does say when the shop is next open (usually weekdays at 8pm), and it seems to be open 24/7 atm. So here are my thoughts of these bars:
Strawberries ‘n’ creme
I’ll first talk about the strawberries ‘n’ creme bar. I had high hopes for this one and it definitely met my expectations. The small of strawberry hit me as soon as I opened the packet, and it made me want to devour the bar straightaway. The chocolate itself is creamy, and the combination of strawberry and white chocolate is utterly divine. It has a melt-in-your-mouth texture that is similar to Lindt bars and truffles. The only criticism I have of this bar is that I do think the strawberry flavour could’ve been a tad stronger.
Sprinkles ‘n’ creme
Next we have sprinkles ‘n’ creme. The first thing I noticed when I opened this bar was the smell – it reminded me of birthday cake, which is exactly what it tasted like too. The bar is full of colourful sprinkles, giving it a very crunchy texture. Sprinkles ‘n’ creme also has a hint of vanilla, which made it slightly sweeter and more flavoursome.
Cookies ‘n’ mint
Last but not least is cookies ‘n’ mint. This bar tastes and smells exactly like mint choc chip ice cream, which is not surprising since this range is inspired by ice cream. The flavour is a tad artificial, but it’s not overbearing, and the chocolate chips go well with the min and white chocolate.
Overall, these bars are super delish and summery. I love the ice cream design on each bar and the range of flavours. I would have to say that strawberries ‘n’ crème is my favourite bar from this range. It’s the tastiest and authentic, and so moreish too. If these new Hershey’s bars sound tempting, you can purchase them from Home Bargains (cheapest option at only 49p each), Randalls UK (for £1.79 each), or GB Gifts (for a steep £2.99 each).
Have you ever tried Hershey’s chocolates? Have you tried this range?
