Photo Diary #3: The Festive Doors Of Chelsea

Photo Diary #3 The Festive Doors Of Chelsea

Hey guys!

It’s time for another Photo Diary! Yesterday I ventured to Chelsea and took loads of photos of festive doorways! If you follow Instagram accounts like londonispink and thelondonwallflower, you’ll know that London goes all out at Christmas (yes, even in the middle of a pandemic!), and Chelsea is one of the best areas to visit to get into the festive mood.

Get out at Sloane Square station, walk in the direction of King’s Road, and turn off at various side streets/squares, and you’ll come across some of the prettiest and unique Christmas door displays you’ve ever laid your eyes on. Wander around squares like Markham Square and Carlyle Square, or venture into streets lined with colourful houses and doors, such as Glebe Place and Oakley Street, which is home to the famous ‘Love’ door.

If you’re in London over Christmas and fancy exploring somewhere a little different, head to Chelsea. Not only is it full of stunning Christmas door displays, but it also has fabulous independent boutiques, high-end stores, and Instagrammable eateries (be sure to check out Peggy Porschen and The Ivy Chelsea Garden). Don’t forget to wear comfortable shoes as walking around Chelsea involves A LOT of walking – I managed to do over 15,000 steps in just a few hours!

Scroll down to see the pretty Christmas door displays of Chelsea!

The house in the next three images is located in Carlyle Square and it’s my absolute favourite – I love all the colour. Unfortunately there was a car parked out front but I managed to get a handful of decent photos!

Also located in Oakley Street is this gorgeous display. I love the sleigh!

Another of my favourites is this pair of doors in Glebe Place. It was previously used as a studio for British artist Joseph Turner.

So pretty! I love the simplicity of this wreath.

What’s your favourite Christmas display? How have you decorated your house this year? I’ve just got a Christmas tree and wreath!
