It’s definitely been a while since I did a monthly favourites post – the last one I did was in May! Woah, that’s FOUR months ago! Oops. There are quite a few things I’ve been loving recently, so I thought I’d share them with you today (even though it’s not actually the end of the month yet).
1. London’s pretty mews
As any freelancer / recent graduate would know, it does get ever so boring sitting at home all day, staring at a computer screen. I’ve been making the most of my free days (well, the few sunny ones anyway) hunting down some of London’s prettiest mews and streets. I’ve got a HUGE list of them, thanks to bloggers like A Lady In London, All Things Foxyy and Candy Pop.
Being the official photographer for my friend’s wedding last month enabled me to rekindle my love for photography, and I’ve discovered some truly amazing photographers since. I’d highly recommend checking out Beth Sandland (Blog & Instagram), Kaye Ford (Blog & Instagram) and Lauren (Blog & Instagram). I’ve also started to offer my own blogger shoots so feel free to tweet me or email me at email@example.com. You can find examples of my work on Instagram or Flickr.
3. Dream A Little Dream – Giovanna Fletcher
I read Dream A Little Dream while I was in France and it is without a doubt one of the best books I’ve read this year. It’s written by Giovanna Fletcher, wife of Tom from McFly, and follows Sarah, a PA who gets invited to her ex’s wedding. Talk about awkward. And to make matters worse, Sarah’s mum constantly asks her when she’ll be getting married herself. Oh, and let’s not forget about the rather inappropriate dreams Sarah keeps having about a guy from her past…
Dream A Little Dream is a quick holiday read that is perfect for fans of Sophie Kinsella and contemporary chick-lit. I instantly fell in love with Giovanna’s writing and I’m sure you will too.
4. Demi Lovato
Demi Lovato is back guys, and she is sounding as incredible as always. She’s released a few songs recently (e.g. Sorry Not Sorry, Tell Me You Love Me and You Don’t Do It For Me Anymore) and I CAN’T STOP LISTENING TO THEM! I urge you to check them out now!
So those are my recent favourites! What have you enjoyed recently? Are there any new songs/films / TV shows you’d recommend?
