Songs That Are Getting Me Through Lockdown

Songs That Are Getting Me Through Lockdown

Hey guys!

It’s almost 2 months after Boris Johnson’s announcement, and the UK is still under lockdown (although that might change after this evening – but let’s hope he makes the right decision!). One thing I’ve enjoyed about not having more free time is being able to listen to and discover more music. Websites and apps like YouTube, Spotify, Twitter, TikTok and Apple Music have been my main source of finding new artists during the last 7 weeks, and I’m honestly so grateful for their existence!

To keep positive during lockdown, I’ve been trying to listen to more upbeat songs. The most notable of these are ‘I’m Ready’ (Sam Smith and Demi Lovato), ‘React’ (The Pussycat Dolls), ‘Say So’ (Doja Cat), ‘Lose Control’ (Meduza, Becky Hill & Goodboys), ‘Boyfriend’ (Selena Gomez), ‘Supalonely’ (BENEE & Gus Dapperton), ‘Don’t Start Now’ (Dua Lipa) and ‘Savage’ (Megan Thee Stallion): I’m sure you’re familiar with the majority of these as they became popular through TikTok – maybe you’ve even tried some of the dances to these tunes yourself! Other upbeat songs I’ve had on repeat include ‘I Love Me’ (Demi Lovato), ‘Lento’ (Lauren Jauregui), ‘I Love You’s’ (Hailee Steinfeld) and ‘No Good’ (Ally Brooke). These songs are so catchy and whenever I listen to them I want to get up and dance!

If you’re finding lockdown tough (and I don’t blame you), stick on my playlist (which I’ve embedded below) while you’re doing housework, studying, exercising or just chilling, and I guarantee that you’ll be in a better mood! Read on to find out my current favourite songs!

  7. I love a good playlist to keep the mood positive. I’m not very up to date on recent chart songs so there’s only one song on your list that I recognise by name (maybe I’ve heard more of them than I realise but can’t match names to tunes).
