The 90s Tag

Hey guys!

Hope you’re all enjoying the weather! It’s been SO warm recently and it seems like it’ll get even warmer this weekend! Bring on the beach trips, BBQs, Pimms and ice cream!

Today I’ll be posting another tag. Yes, I know what you’re thinking – oh no, not another tag, Serena! But trust me, this one’s a good one! It’s all about the 90s, which is the BEST decade. Sure, I was young at the time, but I still liked all the music and TV shows and stuff – we had the Macarena, beanie babies (I’m sure I’ve still got my collection somewhere…), Britney Spears, Mary Kate and Ashley, the list goes on…I was recently tagged by Hailey to do the 90s Tag and I couldn’t say no – who wouldn’t want to relive their childhood?

So here are the questions and my answers:

1. Favourite Disney film?

Oh this is a tough one! There are so many brilliant Disney films! My favourites from the 90s include The Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, Pocahontas and Aladdin, and The Parent Trap if we’re talking about live-action.

2. Favourite music artists?

Definitely Spice Girls and S Club 7! Christina Aguilera and Destiny’s Child were also great during the 90s!

3. Favourite sweet?

Sherbet Dips and Flying Saucers (I know they’re both still around but I rarely have them these days)!

4. Favourite game? (board game / school game)

We used to play this game called ‘Heads Down Thumbs Up’ at school. It was SO MUCH FUN!

5. Favourite McDonalds ‘Happy Meal’ toy?

Furbies! I know lots of people thought they were creepy but I thought they were so cute!

6. Favourite book?

I can’t pick one! It has to be Matilda and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory! I also loved Jacqueline Wilson when I was a bit older!

7. Favourite clothing store?

I was under 6 during the 90s so I didn’t really care much about clothing! Most of my clothes were from Gap!

8. Favourite TV show?

SO many! Teletubbies, Postman Pat, Pingu

9. What show would you watch after school?

Same as the last question haha!

10. What was your favourite 90s game show?

I didn’t really watch any game shows!

11. Did you own a virtual pet? (Cyberpet, Tamagotchi etc)

Not until around 2003! I used to have a couple of Tamagotchi pets.

12. Favourite video game and system to play on?

I never really got into video games! I did actually play a Bratz game a few times with my friend though!

13. Weirdest fashion trend?

Body glitter! That stuff got EVERYWHERE!

14. Favourite toy?

Definitely Barbies! I had so many!

15. Favourite Nickelodeon show?

We didn’t actually get Nickelodeon at home until I was 11! I loved Sleepover Club, Unfabulous and Zoey 101! I always wanted to go to PCA – a boarding school by the beach with loads of cute guys? Yes please!

What were your favourite things during the 90s? Let me know! Also, feel free to use the same questions and do your own version of The 90s Tag!

Omg haha, this was like a trip down memory lane. I’d forgotten about heads down thumbs up! We used to play bulldog too and Tamagotchis became super popular. Then those weird scooby things that you could plait into key rings. Almost all of my clothes were from Gap!

  2. Oh I am so nostalgic for Beanie Babies! The new varieties that they have these days are nowhere near as cute, their huge eyes make them really creepy IMO! Totally with you on the Spice Girls, so many classic songs! And OMG the Sleepover Club on Nick as well!! I’d totally forgotten that existed! I loved the books too!

I didn’t really think the Teletubbies were that creepy at the time but thinking about it now they were kinda weird! Thanks for stopping by!
